Barry Keoghan Considering Joining Paul Mescal’s ‘Gladiator’ Sequel (Report)


Paul Mescal‘s Gladiator sequel might have another star attached to the cast – Barry Keoghan.

The 30-year-old Banshees of Inisherin actor is said to be in talks to join the cast of the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The report revealed the character that Barry is allegedly being considered for, and it offers some insight into the plot for the sequel.

Barry is reportedly being considered to play Emperor Geta. Meanwhile, Paul is rumored to play Emperor Commodus’ nephew Lucilla. It remains to be seen if Lucilla and Emperor Geta will be friends or rivals considering that both had ties to the throne.

The Gladiator sequel is set to be directed by Ridley Scott, who helmed the original movie. It is currently scheduled to arrive on November 22, 2024.
